CCR Part 1

Image
Heres my ccr part 1. 1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? 2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text? 3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

Re-Shoot Blog

So after what my sister told me. Me and my groupmates with the criticism we receive. We deicide to reshoot majority of the scenes. One of the scenes we shoot was of me driving around. The context to this is prior to me meeting with Chris. With me calling him to meet up at McDonald's. To get this scene Daniel was on top of the hood of the car recording me safely while I was driving. But with Daniel recording from the outside and me talking inside the car. We had ran into some issues. We over came these issues by recording my voice inside through my phone. The clip that came from this was one of the better looking scenes in my opinion. Plus it was funny to see Daniel laying on top of the hood recording me. When we were recording Chris came and we decided to record the other scenes we needed. All of the scenes we took after that was straightforward. Only issue that came about this was my dog getting involved for the scenes. She randomly got involved when we use to shoot and had to res

Peer Review Blog

So for the peer review, I decided to have my sister do it. At first, she didn't want to. Bot after some bribery for some food she gave in. At first, she liked the overall look of my video. But she didn't love the editing.  For some reason, my first version wasn't the best. It didn't have the audio synced correctly. She had some thoughts about the music and the production quality. She thought the music sucks. Which it does. Cause it's the only non-copyrighted music. She didn't like the transitions either. She thought it was cut weird. But when I showed her the final production, she loved it. By using her ideas we re-made it. With thoughts in mind. She really loved the final edit of it. How we made the intensity high. And how we fixed the transactions. They ended up coming smoothly. She really liked how it turned out.

Production Blog: Home Stretch

Image
This is the final part of the editing saga. We got every done for the editing. We all feel very confident about this final product that we did. In this process, we had no issues that messed us up like the first time. However, we did have an issue with the audio mixing. The issue came about when we tried mixing the audio of the song we chose with some dialogue. The result didn't match our expectations, and our attempts at fixing the issue individually proved more challenging than anticipated. It is difficult to balance the audio levels to ensure the dialogue is audible and the background noise is manageable. As a result, we left it in the background noise, which was only slight. But it did teach us something valuable about audio productions. That is that is not just playing with the volume sliders. It's about finding the perfect harmony between different elements while maintaining clarity. We saw to achieve the professional quality. It is all about having practice and trial an

Production Blog: Editing time

The most tedious process in my opinion. That would be the editing process. My crew decided to divide the work with each of us taking turns editing it. Normally if I was going to work on the video I would do it on Adobe Premiere Pro. But as I am splitting the work with others. We are going to edit on CapCut. CapCut should be straightforward since we all have previous experience with it. I used it to do my first project. Overall it was an easy app to use. It had a lot of useful features in it and it still gets updated. You can also easily share project files, collaborate on edits in real-time, and provide feedback to each other within the app. You're bound to get something out of it. The best thing about it is that it's completely free. It's not like Adobe Premiere Pro where you have to pay to use it. With it being free the crew is able to work on it also. By this, they can be able to input their own ideas out there instead of one of us doing it. The whole app of CapCut is go
